So the first week we were back from Winter Break, our friend Lo had a get together at her apartment where she served snacks and hot dogs. As soon as we walked in the door, she pulled Angie and I aside into the kitchen: "I know you guys know what I'm talkin' about...do you know what a tamale is?!" we of course answered "yes" very amused that she singled out the only hispanics in the group. She then told us all about how she wanted to buy chili for our hot dogs, saw the "Hormel" label and automatically assumed it was the chili she always buys...FALSE. Check it out, CANNED tamales LOL!!
